If you already had this (or the mpressor) I would say get the 175/176 instead, but since you don't, go for it.Ī criteria I like to present to people buying plug-ins is that they (as in the UAD stuff) are all awesome and useful, and since you don't have all bases covered yet, go for the plug-ins that you can see yourself using daily. That said, if you plan on using it 'everyday' then stick with it. #6 - API Vision - I like the API stuff, but maybe (just maybe) consider a different plug-in here. #5 - Neve 1084 - Great and works with a ton of different sources, you're gonna use it on almost everything. #4 - Ampex ATR - Maybe swap this out for a different plug-in, but since this is fairly expensive, it would be the last one I would change out. #3 - Ocean Ways Studios - UAD is great at reverbs. #2 - Capitol Chambers - Unless you have a need for this right now, consider picking up a different plug-in, and get this the next time around.

#1 - Lex 224 - UAD is awesome at reverbs, and you love the sound it makes on guitar, but if it's only for 1 or 2 songs maybe print the track(s) in demo mode and get a different plug-in. Too many dang options. So might I recommend going with the 10+3 plug-in bundle, if that is possible. Think I'm going to have to consider this one now. The Neve 1084 into the culture vulture is absolutely sick. I was looking for that distorted straight-to-console fuzz sound.
